The Portland Co is supporting their friend Meg Inman, who's going on an upcoming trip to Uganda, Africa with Jose Zayas of Jose Zayas Evangelism International by producing a benefit concert called "Change The World". A small event with live music from Elliot and Sean Thomas, meals prepared by local chef Mackenzie Weiss of Abundance Personal Chef and a simple message from Jose and owner of The Portland Co; Spencer Hill. Admission is your spare change, with a suggested donation of $5.00

About the Bands

Elliot is a band from Bend, Oregon who's music is reminiscent of underground artists such as Above The Golden State and Starfield, or more widely known musicians such as Phil Wickham or Jeremy Camp. Classifying themselves as a "Rock, pop, acoustic, indie" band.

Sean Thomas is based out of Sherwood/Wilsonville, Oregon having played for several years at small venues and leading music in his church is joining us to debut a full band. Sean, singularly, has been compared to Jack Johnson and John Mayer in style or melody, while lyrically is parallel to lesser known musicians such as Jason Uptown. As a band, Zach Marrow on the electric guitar (an incredibly gifted musician we might add) and Brandon Carter on the bass, produce a truly unique style of music to our generation. Probably comparable to Coldplay in their originality and Underoath in their commitment to singing until their lungs bleed.

About the Speakers

Jose Zayas, head of Jose Zayas Evangelism International is one of the more genuine people you'll meet. Traveling around the world to share simple wisdom and insight about the Bible and Jesus, the God who became a man to save humanity itself. He's responsible for leading Meg's team into Africa to assist and aid the people of Uganda and will be talking a bit about the ministry and what they do.

Spencer Hill is a close friend of Meg, and is the owner of The Portland Co, which is primarily a website development and graphic design company. But we also assist with and plan events such as "Change The World" and other media resources in film and music. He's been in his field for five years and simply enjoys hosting events.

What's the Itenerary?

Beginning at 7PM you can expect to have Sean Thomas and his band playing for the first part of the evening, there will be meals available for $12 a plate with food and drink. With an introduction from Spencer, Elliot will take the stage and serenade us all until about 9 or 9:30. The evening will end with a short message from Jose thanking everyone for joining us and helping send teams to Uganda.
